Power of Attorney, a legal document that empowers someone else to take actions or make decisions on your behalf. You choose the person you want to help you, called an “Attorney”, and decide what powers they should have.

If you become ill or lose capacity and don’t have a Power of Attorney (POA) then no one can act on your behalf. Power of Attorney will allow your family and loved ones to deal with your personal and financial affairs, such as going to the bank or signing a legal document.

It is not a practically difficult, time consuming or expensive process to prepare a POA. Generally, couple of consultations with our solicitor would be enough.
